Dr David Murison was the editor of the Scotish National Dictionary, which took 30 years in the making,
and was possibly the greatest single contribution to Scots language studies.
Much of the information illustrated in the Heritage Centre would not have been possible without David's knowledge
for which the Heritage Society is eternally grateful.
Test your knowledge of Scotland's language; David requested we use his dictionary (volumes showing in the photo) bequested to the Heritage Society.
