 Scottish Museum of the Year 1999.Northern Lights Awards 2004,2005,2006.Green Butterfly Award 2005.National Green Apple Award 2006.The building* was originally a herring barrel store, then the foundry of the Consolidated Pneumatic Tool Company Ltd., before being converted in 1998 to a (650m2 ) modern visitor centre which illustrates the history of Fraserburgh and its people.
Fraserburgh Heritage Centre building is leased by Fraserburgh Heritage Society Ltd. and the Centre is run by volunteers from the Society. . Enjoy your time here in this Award-winning Museum created by the local community.
