 The town grew from a "mere creek" to become in its heyday Scotland’s premier herring port.
The Herring Packers, Harbourmaster’s Office, Cooperage and Boatbuilder’s Yard are reconstructed in detail to demonstrate what it was like to work down at the harbour in the 1900s.
